As we hopefully emerge from this long, frigid Southwest Pennsylvania winter, many of us are still feeling the instinct to hunker down and stay tucked away at home. Cold months have a way of narrowing our world, keeping us indoors and limiting the social connections that make our bridge community special.
This is the perfect moment to remind ourselves of the value of face to face bridge. Our in-person games aren't just about bidding and making contracts--they're about laughter across the table, shared stories, friendly rivalries, and the simple joy of being together. These moments matter. They lift our spirits, sharpen our minds, and strengthen the friendships that define Unit 142.
I encourage each of you to make the effort to come out and join a game.
We are looking for help storing bridge tables and other supplies for tournaments. If you are able to rent or donate space, please email me at president@pittsburghbridge.org ,

Classes currently ongoing in Mt. Lebanon, Monroeville, Treesdale and North Hills.
Supervised play ongoing in Mt. Lebanon, Glenshaw, and Sewickley.
Student Party set for March 14 th , where students taking bridge classes can gather for a
‘fun duplicate game’ without the pressure of facing grizzled veterans. Terri Tunick and
Marilyn Sittig are the Party Planners, and kudos to them for their hard work.
We are hopeful that more of the students show up at club games. We keep rowing
the boat, hoping to reach shore.
